FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sheriff William “Bill” Redman today announced his intention to run for County
Commissioner, District 1, in 2026, as his current term as Sheriff concludes on December
31, 2026.
“For more than three decades, it has been my honor to serve and protect the citizens of
this county,” Redman said. “As I prepare to retire from law enforcement, my commitment
to this community is as strong as ever. That’s why I am announcing my candidacy for
County Commissioner.”
Redman stated that his campaign will focus on strong, professional leadership,
continued support for public safety, and critical infrastructure improvements across the
county.
“My priorities will be leading with professionalism and integrity, maintaining strong
support for our police and fire departments, and ensuring our roads are better
maintained,” Redman said. “That includes more efficient and reliable snow removal, so
residents can travel safely year-round.”
Throughout his career in public service, Redman has been recognized for his
dedication, accountability, and collaborative leadership. He brings decades of
experience managing budgets, personnel, and complex operations—skills he believes
are essential for effective county governance.
“I believe our county deserves leadership that listens, works hard, and delivers results,”
Redman added. “I look forward to earning the trust and support of our community as I
take this next step in public service.”
Additional information about the campaign will be released in the coming months.
Redman emphasized that his primary focus remains fulfilling his duties as the county’s
elected Sheriff.
